Domain name .tokyo

The domain name is the address of a website. The domain allows users to easily find your site on search engines. It consists of a series of letters and/or numbers, separated or not by a hyphen.

In general, your domain is the name of your company, brand, or product. It's the identity of your business on the web.

A domain name consists of three parts, for example for the site www.mysite.com:

• www.: The subdomain is flexible, you can create several subdomains to redirect to different parts of your site, for example contact.mysite.com, shop.mysite.com, etc.
• mysite: The second-level domain (SLD) is the name of your site, company, brand, blog... Like the subdomain, this part is 100% customizable to perfectly match your business.
• .com.fr .net .org .info .site .xyz .fun...: The top-level domain (TLD) completes your identity and contributes to your online visibility. The choice of a domain extension can influence your site's ranking on search engines. Adapt to your target audience. If you target a specific country, choose a domain extension related to that country (.fr .be .lu .eu .paris .jp...)

The first thing to do when you start creating a website or online store is to choose a domain name. We recommend choosing a domain name that matches these criteria as closely as possible:

• Simple to write and easy to remember
• Clear, descriptive, impactful, or evocative of your business
• Helps your SEO: with keywords
• With an extension suited to your target country (.fr for France, .be for Belgium, .ch for Switzerland, .lu for Luxembourg, etc.)
• Find an available domain name with our domain search tool
• Discover all our domain extensions (over 800)
• WHOIS: tool to check who owns a domain name and its DNS servers

Want a domain name that's already registered? LWS offers hundreds of other extensions. Enter a similar domain name or an alternative extension that best matches your business.

If you don't want to choose another extension or change your name, contact the current owner of the domain if it's not under Anonymous Whois, which lists contact information, registrar, registration date, expiration date, and update date (if it hasn't been updated for a long time, the owner may not be using it actively). However, GDPR now prevents registrars like LWS from publishing an owner's contact details without their consent if they're not a business. You can still try to contact the owner via their website using your target domain name; most sites have a contact page.

Sometimes, the domain you're looking for is already for sale by its owner. In this case, it's available on the secondary market. Transactions are made directly between seller and buyer or via marketplaces.
